  • Who’s attracting more people to baseball right now ranging from former baseball fans who stopped watching to people who’ve never watched a game before? SHOHEI OHTANI. We’ve all seen sluggers shine, but we’ve never see a starting pitcher be just as threatening on the plate at the same time facing GLOBAL TALENT. He’s earned it, even if he doesn’t end up as the HR leader this season.

  • pitching + hitting = mvp

  • Triple crown> Ohtani pitching and hitting

  • Vlad plays on a team with a stacked lineup! Take the Blue Jays making the playoffs vs the Angels not making the playoffs out of the equation. Compare WAR and you have OHTANI as the MVP!!!

  • When vlad starts throwing heaters then he mvp

  • Vlad MVP el mejor mas numero

  • African Americans tend to be anti-Asian. Wilbon is no exception. He even short changed Ohtani about the amount of years . And even though Vlad is Hispanic, he's still Afro-Latino, meaning Wilbon would be predjudice in favor of him .... No doubt he would vote for Vlad even if he doesn't get the triple crown, you can tell by his take .

  • HE ISNT WINNING THE TRIPLE CROWN LOL

  • Look at both rosters the fact that the Angels are now 2 games under .500 is a freakin miracle. No Trout, no Rendon, no Upton for most of the year because he's freakin old and done. Pitching is Garbage from the get go. He's their best pitcher and best hitter and sometimes willing himself, stealing base running the bases for the Angels to win. If not for Ohtani the Angels are the Orioles west. Toronto arguable has one of the best lineups in baseball with Springer, Semien, Hernandez, Bichette, Gurriel Jr. etc... Their pitching staff has 4 legit starters and the Angles have Ohtani, and a bunch of injured in and out of the lineup pitchers like Cobb, Sandoval, Bundy.....and I didn't even mention the Bullpen. I love Vlad Jr. and nothing against him, but it's not even a question to who is the MVP.

  • Ohtani is an average player at both positions. Being average doesn't make you the most valuable player. Excelling in one position, and as a result, putting your team in a position to make the playoffs - that's valuable!

  • Go Blue Jays!!! Also go Asians. See they're not all nerds and geeks.

  • Nobody is watching baseball because of vlad.

    • Facts!!!! How many have said I'm watching baseball again because of Vlad Jr. some, but I'm willing to bet Ohtani gets more votes.

    • I am watching baseball because of Vladimir Jr.

  • Not even close.

  • Vladdy is without question the MUCH better hitter than Ohtani. He has him beat in every statistical category except WAR and the only reason he's behind in WAR is because he has a deep team around him meanwhile Ohtani is playing on a trash team. You take out a good hitter from a horrible lineup then obviously your wins above replacement will be higher. With that being said, the guy is literally also one of the best pitchers in baseball lol... it's not that fair and clearly him for MVP. Sucks for Vladdy though, easily the 2nd best player in baseball this year and would have won the MVP the past few seasons as well if this Japanese God wasn't in his way.

  • Ohtani because he is baseball only 2 way player will automatically win the MVP every season until he retires.

  • Ohtani is MVP to baseball and not just AL

  • Blah blah blah VLad does not have 9 wins! Has not strike out one player! Think about it

  • Vlad can never pass ohtani as MVP. He doesn’t have the 9 wins!! Make him throw a 100miles pitch and win 10 games then he can be MVP

    • And those 9 wins are doing what for the Angels?

  • HOW MANY STRIKEOUTS DOES VLAD HAVE AGAIN?

  • What is with the award nonsense ? There paid a wage to do a job. In most professions, you are paid to produce. And, there is no further inticement than doing such. All sports need to do away with this silliness. Stop handing out awards and, trophies. It just leads down a road that ends nowhere. Athletes are employees. Nothing more nothing less. So, let's ALL take a step back and, stop glorifying them. For simply doing what their paid too.

  • Vlad jr He's going for a triple Crown But not just that He's going for a record hold for more than 60 years, Youngest home run league leaders in MLB history

  • The award is NOT Most Outstanding Player. It's Most Valuable Player. If it was MOP, Ohtani wins easily because he's doing that hasn't been seen in baseball history. With it being Most VALUABLE Player, the teams record matters. The Angels have one of the worst records in baseball. The Blue Jays are, right now, in the playoffs. That alone makes Vlad Jr. a more valuable player than Ohtani. His production is winning his teams games. Ohtani's production is just him putting up numbers.

    • Hahhahaha, get real.

    • Tell that to Trout when he won.

  • OHTANI is way more dynamic as a pitcher & DH.

  • VLADY IS THE REAL MVP

  • The politics! Why couldn't they both win?

  • Vlad is playing very well. Ohtani is doing something that hasn’t been done a 100 years. MVP goes to Ohtani.

    • Just cuz he’s unique doesn’t mean he’s the most VALUABLE

    • @Two Seasons it does matter Bc it doesn’t matter how famous he has been terrible since July

    • @Jason Jia So what? Ohtani is not so exceptional of a pitcher that that matters.

    • @John Anderson Vlad hasn't pitch 1 inning it.

    • @Tootspogs Forever We are talking about if his performance deserves an mvp award. His hitting since july has not been worthy of that. And his pitching wins are mostly against bad teams. Overall, he leads the league in no major offensive or pitching categories. That doesnt sound like an mvp to me.

  • If Vlad Jr. hits 10 more HR's than Ohtani, it still does not matter. Ohtani IS still the AL MVP this year! No doubt!

  • It’s ohtani no matter what happens even if he gets injured he’s mvp guarantee there’s not a chance he has a higher war

  • Where is Stephen A to point out that Vladdy can't speak English...Oh, thats right, Vladdy is black so it doesn't matter.

  • Maskoffweb, are so the best

  • Maskoffweb are so the best

  • Shohei no question. The guy has brought back baseball along with new fans for the sport. He is a global sensation and not to mention he can play on both sides of the field on an elite level. Once in a lifetime talent right there.

    • JUST BEAUSE HE CAN PLAY BOTH WAYS DOESNT MEAN HE IS BETTER THAN VLAD. SHOHEI CANT PLAY IN THE NL. AND JUST CUZ HES UNIQUE DOESNT MEAN HE IS THE BETTER PLAYER.

    • Not valuable enough to help his team make the playoffs

    • Yes we understand that but this the most valuable player not best player or most talented player. Vladdy can have better numbers across the board and is on a playoff contending team. Angels are junk with ohtani on there

    • @CarolCityCane305 No he didn't

    • No he didn’t tatis jr did

  • I'm only agreeing with Vlad Jr because his team is winning

  • Wait how did this guy ended with a russian name 🤣

  • 103rd comment

  • More than 70% Of The eyeballs watching ball games are gamblers,. and we don't give a _uck about the personal opinions of clowns on the screen or who's the mvp ..we simply care about winning our bets... that's why we suffer through these mostly boring games...Dump the talkers..get more pickers.... you'll do a lot more eyeballs.

  • Ohtani is doing something that hasn’t been done in 90 years but my only argument is the angels record. It’s not very good. So how are we going to give an MVP to someone on a team who doesn’t have a good record? Doesn’t make much sense.

    • It's a freakin miracle the Angels are two games under .500. Without Ohtani this team would be the Orioles West. Vlad Jr. Plays on a pretty stacked team with arguable one of the best lineups in baseball and some great starting pitching. Take Vlad out of Toronto they're still probably in the Playoff hunt. It makes a lot of sense to me.

  • If I had to vote today I'd say vlad Jr he is better now and means more to his teams success. Sho is a fantastic player but he means less to his team because they were always not going to be in serious playoffs contention with him or without him

    • Means more to his team, with a stacked lineup and great starting pitching? They'll still be in the playoff hunt even without him. Ohtani is caring the whole trashcan called the Angels on his back to .500!!! LOL.

  • It was always Vlad... the voters suck. Let's go Blue Jays!

  • i n t e l l e c t w e b s you are the best i n t e l l e c t w e b s you are awesome

  • No way lol offensively they are not far apart, defensively it’s not even close, shohei pitches as well and is relatively good at pitching (having a great year) shohei is so valuable to that team it’s really not even close.

    • @gfear24 Yeah look at the roster of both teams. Both players switch teams and Angels are worst with Vlad then without. Where are they going to get those 9 wins? I'm pretty sure Vlad Jr. ain't going to go out on the mound. Not even close.

    • Defensively it's not close? Vladdy is one of the best defensive 1B in all of baseball this year. What has Ohtani's production done for the Angels record? 4 games under .500. 14 back in the division. Zero hope at eve a wild card play in game. Meanwhile Vladdy's production has helped the Jays to 2nd in the division, the #1 wild card spot. 18 games above .500. If you want to have a Most Outstanding Player of the year award, then yes, Ohtani deserves it. This is the Most VALUABLE Player of the year. And for that, a teams record actually matters.

  • We have seen triple crown winners before, we have never seen what Ohtani is doing. He is getting it done hitting and pitching against the best in the league, Vlad is just hitting.

    • @Adam Adamson Nov 12th

    • @john John I guess we will have to watch some baseball and find out

    • @Adam Adamson I can see that thought process but until his stats become the "norm" in the league it will probably always be WOW.

    • I'll agree that ohtani has had a historic season but after this year I don't think it will have the same kind of wow factor

    • @Adam Adamson Here are some of the requirements for the MVP voting. It still comes down to the voter but seriously there were games were Ohtani did everything on is own, of course he had support, but striking out 8-10 batters then hitting HR's, stealing bases etc. If he has the same year or better he should definitely be the MVP again, right now no other player can do what he is doing. Triple Crown is impressive but not as impressive as a true 5 star player! However, like I said the voters have different views on the definition, it's like a boxing judge they like what they like. 1. Actual value of a player to his team, that is, strength of offense and defense. 2. Number of games played. 3. General character, disposition, loyalty and effort. 4. Former winners are eligible.

  • Here's my pet peeve with this "Ohtani for MVP" narrative: when do you draw the line and eventually say "yeah he can hit and pitch, but should he be in MVP considerations each year just because he can do both" Not to mention he's not even in the top category of pitching stats, only thing that's saving his MVP narrative is the home runs Edit: Boe O is a rêt🅰️řd

    • @Boe O whatever rét🅰️řd 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @J-876 King Does Vlad have 20 Plus Stolen Bases? Does Vlad have an ERA of 3.36 in 115 Innings with 136 Strikeouts? Not to mention his 40 plus homers, 90 plus Runs scored, 90 plus Runs batted In, and Is in contention for a Gold Glove at the Pitchers position. Vlad is the BETTER hitter, but that doesn't mean he should win MVP. You Vlad supporters love to ignore the Stats Ohtani has both as a pitcher and hitter. Vlad is not in the same league as Ohtani. It's a Fact. Not an Opinion. Deal with it and have a nice day

    • @J-876 King Oh wait your just going to ignore a 2 Way season like it's nothing and give the MVP to a great hitter who can barley field 1st and run.

    • @J-876 King Why would he be in the Cy young Race he doesn't have enough innings stupid.

    • @Boe O last I checked he's not in any conversation for Cy Young Narrative MVP 🤷🏾‍♂️ Rét🅰️řd

  • How can you give an award due to it happening twice in 45 years, whilst saying Ohtani is doing something not seen in 80 years lmao what kind of logic is that?

  • NOPE ...SHOHEI IS MVP......favoring skin color is NO NO NO ........

  • If what someone is doing once in a hundred years doesn't get him MVP just cancel the whole MVP thing.

    • @CarolCityCane305 thats why I said “if blue Jays make it in the playoffs Guerrero May have a chance”.

    • @G Engell he’s playing for the blue jays in the AL East by far the hardest division in baseball

    • @CarolCityCane305 vladimir is a first baseman. First basemen are considered almost as a DH. For a DH or a first baseman to win a MVP title it requieres a lot (which no doubt Guerrero has excelled), when competing against Ohtani Im not sure they’ll go for it. Besides, Vladimir plays for a Canadian team. And yes, that is a factor. Only way Guerrero wins the MVP is if blue Jays make it the playoffs and Guerrero makes his case there.

    • @G Engell how sad u only see vlad as a home run hitter so should I see ohtani as a strikeout hitter with a 263 batting aberage

    • @Two Seasons yes, Ohtani is definitely the better baseball player. Is like when I played in little league, there were the chubby overweight kid who knock the ball out of the park like no one on the team, but can’t run fast enough to beat a double play. Then you have the other slim athletic kid that pitches, bats, runs, fields, can play any position with ease, and still hits with enough power. That second kid was the better baseball player.

  • This kid is 22....even if he doesn't win it this year...I promise you he will have a couple in his future...his swing is just perfection

  • Ohtani will likely win MVP and i'll be happy, but I'm getting a bad feeling and that feeling keeps growing by day. It's like all the noise and high expectation affects him in a bad way. He'll have to do way better next season or the season after to impress people, if he can't do that..this season might be the only time he has a chance at MVP.

    • @Na Na well there you go he has a sore arm. I’m telling you. Soooooooo many players come into the league and play great for a couple of years and then injury hits and it’s basically over for them. That’s exactly what will happen to Ohtani unless he sticks to being a hitter only. He can’t pitch consistently without getting hurt.

    • Man, I'm telling you something happening with Ohtani since Allstar. Today he made it to Time's Most Influential People..but in today's game he didn't play well. The more prestige he receive, the more he continues to be bad or what? He had enough rest, so it's not physical fatigue. It must be a mental thing. I feel bad for him.

    • @Matt Hoffman That's why I feel like this whole thing is bittersweet. It's seem like it'll be downhill from here, but I hope not. Even if he does continue performing exactly the same in the future, People will want more from him. They'll gonna get tired of the same act.

    • I’ll be happy to be wrong but with his injury past I find it very difficult to believe he can do this season in and out. Maybe 2-3 seasons max and then an injury will hit. Again, I’d be happy to be wrong and if we see that he’s this generational talent that can actually put up the numbers for years that would be great for baseball

  • He already has...

  • Not even close lol

  • I dont know. Ohtani is great because his Pitching and Homeruns but otherwise his Hitting stats arent really on Vladdy's level and hes not a bad pitcher but he wouldnt be on any Cy Young votes. What Ohtani is doing is unique though and he will win because its prob a better story for the league. If he doesnt win the HR race over Vladdy I dont think hes done any 1 thing better than anyone which doesnt really scream MVP to me personally.

    • He was walked too many times.

  • Triple double isn’t common either Wilbon lol

  • Let me know when Vladimir did something that hasn't been done in 100 years. I'll wait, no I can't, no one today will see it again....

  • Make a new award for ohtani...he's done someting out of one's reach then give mvp to vlady....because you can't give them both as comparing such historic season of shohei to vlad's it'll be unfair to ohtani then.

    • @David right But Babe Ruth never pitch and hit in the same season. Ohtani is having the single greatest year of all time in Baseball and not winning MVP will kill Baseball forever.

    • there have been 12 triple crown seasons in the MLB... there has been only 1 Babe Ruth

  • Shohei revived the game.

    • @Na Na na they just gotta win

    • @Arthur Au two awards could help voters fatigue as well. People get tired of awarding the same person year after year that they start unnecessary nitpicking, or they pick the wrong person because they want someone new, regardless of how the players performed that season.

    • @Arthur Au what is he doing for mvp? He’s been trash since the all star break and don’t forget vlad plays in the AL East

    • MLB should have two awards, the MVP and the MOP. Ohtani wins the Most VALUABLE player award while Vlad Jr wins the Most OUTSTANDING player award.

    • he is the epitome of most valuable player. but he has to do something insane next season or people will get bored of him.

  • There are 9 players on the field and 9 people who bat. Vlad is not winning the games by himself the same as Shohei is not losing the games. Shohei is probably the main reason the angels have as many wins as they do because of the offensive/defensive aspects. Shohei Ohtani is the only man in baseball who can win a game by himself by pitching shutouts and bombing homers. Not to mention the whole 1st since BABE RUTH thing. Think about that.

    • @Arthur Au Being a 2-way player has nothing to do with it. Being great as a 2-way on both sides does. There is a difference.

    • In that case then, you could award Ohtani the MVP every season until he retires because he is baseball only 2 way player.

  • They forgot to count those intentional walks? how many home could have been made out of those intentional walks? He could have 50+ HRs now

  • if Vlad wins triple crown yes

  • Forget just the triple crown. He's currently leading the AL in Hits, runs, HRs, batting average, on base, slugging, ops, ops+, total bases. If he takes the lead in RBIs as well it would be criminal to not make him MVP. It would be the most complete hitting season in MLB history. Nothing similar would have ever been accomplished We're talking about Ohtani is doing something that hasn't been done in 80+ years, but Vlad will be doing something that hasn't EVER been done, not in 150 years

    • @David right Thank you!!! Been saying this all along.

    • Look at the teams they are playing on. What shohei is doing with that trash of a team, getting close to .500 is a freakin miracle. Shohei on the Toronto Pitching staff along with that lineup yeah. Take Vlad out of Toronto they'll still be in the playoff hunt.

    • @Eric Bilodeau During his batting title winning season in the American League, Olerud slashed a laughable .363/.473/.599, adding 24 home runs, 107 RBI, and 54 (!) doubles. His OPS was an astonishing 1.072 and he end up with 7.8 bWAR, finishing third in AL MVP voting that year. For those that remember watching that season as it was happening, you’ll likely remember that Olerud was making headlines because he was flirting with the .400 mark for a good portion of the season. It was an exciting time, and while his batting average tapered off in September, Olerud was still hitting .400 on August 2nd, Jaysjournal

    • @Eric Bilodeau seriously I would put a Blue Jay like Olerud flirting with 400 Batting Average over Vladi any day. And Vladi team is stacked with better hitters than those 93 Jays. forcing pitchers to pitch to him

    • @Eric Bilodeau where are you getting best/most complete hitting season? Vladi has 171 hits... sure there is 2 weeks left to go...But for the most hits in a season????? the top 500 in history starts at 200 hits

  • Yeah but Vladdy is also second in batting average, 1st in hits, first in runs, first in home runs, 3rd in runs batted in, 3rd in on base percentage, second in slugging percentage, second in OPS, first in War. You can’t argue that while Ohtani isn’t a top hitter at base or a pitcher anymore, while Vladdy has been consistently all season.

    • @Ben Dover I guess we’ll never know 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • Look at the two rosters Ohtani with the Blue Jays would have at least 4 more wins and have as much bombs and maybe even more RBI's then with the Angels. Vlad Jr. with the Angels would probably put up the same numbers but have 9 more losses then the Angels have now. Love Vlad but not even close.

    • @David right didn’t even know who Ohtani was till this season. Vladdy was always right behind in home runs, and Vladdy is the best at bat in the league.. and ur comparison doesn’t work…. Notice how you had to say a good chunk of the season… that really says a lot about what you had to say..

    • @HOFHooper who says Ohtani was suppose to put up elite numbers playing both ways? I guarantee people like you were saying he coudnt play both ways for a whole season without getting injured. that was the criteria Thats why I am watching just to see if he could do it... the fact that he was putting up elite level numbers hitting and pitching for a good chunk of the season, is just icing on the cake the fact that Vladi just caught him in home run race with 2 weeks left to go... Just goes over your head doesent it? thats like that Canadian Decathlete whose Decathlon Long Jump... would have got him 3rd at the Olympics. But you saying there is 2 better Long Jumpers than him, how come he couldnt jump as far as the other 2 who had better jumps, if he is the best athlete

    • @David right now if he isn’t consistent anymore why should he still be the head huncho for MVP when he’s not a top 10 hitter or pitcher, doesn’t make sense. The awards Vladdys to win.

  • Respect for Vlad!!! But ITS a no brainer....ohtani ITS the MVP

  • after tonight's game no

  • All the talk there haven't been a 2 way player like Babe Ruth in a 100yrs and Shohei is playing lights out IN BOTH,how is he not MVP..

    • @John Anderson He is a elite pitcher since July

    • @John Anderson so?

    • Because he has not done anything at the plate since july.

  • Sure, if Vlad starts pitching at an elite level

  • I think vladdy will need to win the triple crown to win MVP

  • They just need to do a co-mvp. They’re both having incredible seasons

    • problem is you can't compare ohtani's out of the world historic season which nobody has ever had to vlady's best even if he wins the triple crown.

  • Ohtani is special talent. But vlad jr is doing something that never happens. Triple crowns only happened 12 times.

    • LOL doing something that never happens. Only 12 times. Your argument is pretty funny. The last time someone did what Ohtani is doing is 100 years ago and arguably not as impressive as what Ohtani is doing today. Too funny.

    • That’s a terrible argument

    • Ohtani only happens every century lol

  • Sad cos Vlad is a clear MVP if he is playing in NL

    • yeah because years from now you are going to tell the grandkids how Vladi won the triple crown 2021 (done 12 times in the MLB) over a guy doing something not seen since Babe Ruth did it

  • Honestly he’s already passed him IMO

  • Easy, give it to both of them

  • vlad is having the better season tecnecally speaking but what shohei has done this season has never been done before...he will prob win this year, vlad jr has many more MVP's coming his way if he keeps it up

    • @Hot Firelol. You must be a casual baseball fan. Glad a lot of analysts are not like you.

    • yeah vlad is younger, his future is brighter while the high expectations for ohtani in future seasons will make it harder for him.

    • @Williams lebron Vladdy is way better and numbers are way better period!!

    • Technically?? Are you kidding me?? Ohtani still leads in WAR while opens up one roster spot.

    • @Allen Ross Exactly, Vladdy is playing better and going to the playoffs

  • Ohtani doesn't even have 10 wins and he hits 2:60, Guerrero is ahead for sure

  • I'm a blue jays fan but Shohei is without question MVP. You cannot match his value of pitching + hitting.

    • @Dr. D Ross Jr is not even a top 10000 pitcher

    • If this is true he'll be mvp every year than since no one else does both.

    • @Biju Thomas shoehi is not even close to a top 5 pitcher

    • If he just hit he would be 2nd , he will also get cy young votes. He is the best hitter, pitcher and runner on his team and top 5 hitter and pitcher in the whole league.Babe Ruth wasnt close to as good as him on both sides in the same season.

  • Ohtani gots it easy..

  • vladdy MVP. its a no brainer. in AL, more HR (first in AL) more hits (first in AL) better AVG (first in AL) more runs(first in AL) better OB%(first in AL) better slugging% (first in AL) better on base slugging(first in AL) more RBIs (3rdth in AL) more walks (4th in AL) less Ks

    • @Ben Dover well, they do get to play the Rangers 19 times.

    • @Michael Wankewycz Riiight and look at the two rosters. A garbage team where Ohtani is freakin caring on his back to Vlad Jr. who has arguably the best lineup in baseball and a better starting pitching staff. No Trout, no Rendon, no Upton, no starting pitching. LMAO. Just love all the people who who has no clue as to what Ohtani is doing. It's a freakin miracle the Angels are 2 games under .500.

    • @Joe Percy and when he's not pitching, other than a few random innings in the outfield, Ohtani is exclusively a DH. Vlad plays the field and has 120 games loggef in at 1st base. How low are we going to set the bar for a hitter who can pitch? .255 batting average and 9 wins with not much over 100 innings pitched. There's a slew of other pitchers with better stats that have roughly yhe same innings pitched that are going to get zero consideration for the Cy Young (Rodon, Bieber, Bauer just to name a few off the top of my head) Winning the triple crown and leading a team to a late season comeback charge into the playoffs is more valuable.

    • How many innings did he pitch? Honestly, when a guy is doing the job of two star players on just one paycheck....

    • Does he also pitch?

  • Vlad is mvp imo. Ohtani is mvp cuz he’s also a pitcher? I don’t think that’s a fair evaluation of mvp, pretty much from the sounds of it you have to be a pitcher and hit to win mvp if we are going by this criteria

    • @Allen Ross Winning is only a part of it. if he’s carrying his team by having pretty solid batting and pitching stats he’s more valuable in that he can play both sides of the ball for his team. His overall impact for his team is to be considered, even if his team can’t stand behind him and pull off wins. Offensive is important, but having a player that excels in both offensive and defense is a huge impact. His value rockets up because he’s 1 player who’s covering 2 roles that haven’t been covered together in forever. 1 paycheck, 2 players, 2 roster spots in 1 roster spot.

    • @Allen Ross Tell that to Trout when he won.

    • @BE4ST why arent they winning games then

    • @Allan Allan terribly bad standard

    • Most valuable player. Ohtani brings more value

  • Vlad hands down he is triple crown whole league not just the AL… come on now

  • Yes, if he starts pitching.

  • Ohtani is literally the most valuable player for MLB right now. He plays both sides of the field at a high level. Its not close. Sorry.

    • @Allen Ross racist much???😀

    • Mike trout plays for a trash Angels team does suck? No. Casuals 😂

    • @John Anderson its crazy to me how they just overlook his stats. Yea he pitches and hits, so did zack grienke. If you wanna give him a cy young go ahead, but as a hitter he is literally adam dunn 2.0 lol

    • @Allen Ross Exactly. How in the world is a dude who is hitting .258 and who strikes out 35% of the time (170 total) automatically the mvp?

    • Agree. Ohtani for mvp.

  • I don’t watch baseball but no I guess

  • Doubt it. Ohtani does it all. Stop the disrespect

    • @David right your last name makes sense.

    • @Josh Ford so if Shohei decided to join the Yankees or if Shohei had demanded a trade or done the lebron thing, get players to come or run off to other teams to make super teams? then he would be the "Most Valuable Player"

    • @Allen Ross Asian privilege? Hahahahah

    • @Allen Ross your eyes are open

    • @Logical asian priveldge, just simone biles faking an injury to let suni lee win, and the asian golfers winning majors out of nowhere. Learn gematria
